To isolate the issue, try overclocking with atitool or rivatuner and have them apply the setting on startup. Also try lower clocks from the ones you're trying to use. If this works try a different driver.. if it doesn't then the mod didn't go through

Thanks to all those who support my work.
I wanted to wait a bit more in order that sergio was translating well the information, but as there are very impatient persons, if i have time this night, i will publish the information that they wish in the spanish forum.
I wait that yolda or another person of the forum translates well.

I already have published other things equally of important and nobody has commented on anything. Strange not? For this motive i do not go to lose the time in trying to translate it.

When i do it, i will put a link in this forum. In this way the whole world will be able to create your "wonderful" bios.

Up to soon..

For kpop: Seriously do you believe that i do this for money? I believe that nobody has had to pay anything for everything what i have done..

I'm not quite sure how to OC with ATI Tool, when i open it up, core and memory just show 0.00 and they're grayed out

Sorry if I've missed it but to be honest, I havent looked through the full 17 pages of this thread yet.

I just wanted to know if the 7950 GTX is unlockable yet ? Thanks in advance.

I wasn't using too high clocks either, so it shouldn't have just downclocked it because it was too stressful

6800 ultra bios?

Can any of these bios be used for the 6800ultra, or could one be made for it? I have one in an i9300.

Thanks

Well dont worry if its wirthwhile i will translate it. About the comments dont worry, in every profesionals life and carrier you will face comencts and critics, you must learn from them and re-analiyze your work after that.

can someone explain OCing with ATITool, apparently since NV control panel won't make the clocks stick I shud try ATItool, but both core and mem slider are greyed out at 0.00

JUST thought of something outta the blue, is there a nvidia task that should be running in my processes in order for this to work? Like the nv control panel or some other nv start up prog?
ah ok I think i got it. I downloaded RivaTuner and set my clocks with that, and then set it to autoset clocks with rivatuner but i also made it so rivatuner wouldn't start when i restarted. So after a restart the clocks stuck (finally!). Just to check something, i went to msconfig and noticed two new startup items that weren't here before. One's nvcpl and the other is a Rundll32 file but it hasta do with nv also. They don't seem to be runnin according to the task manager tho...but at least the clocks stuck

everything looks good, thanks everyone who provided insight, especially juanlu for the wonderful bios

in reality i prolly shudn't be overclocking right now considering i'm not even sure if my card is gonna survive stock clocks =/

The card runs pretty hot at stock settings and bumping the core voltage I assume will cause throttling issues due to the temperatures.
My card already hits 90 degrees while playing 3d intensive applications.

Thanks for your work on this again

I found in Internet that the original voltage of 6800 ultra is 1,38v. I have not increased the voltage, only i have changed the label. Due to it, it should work to the same temperature.

Thank you for your work, it is much appreciated. Don't let a few belligerent people convince you otherwise!

I should mention my results. I have a GeForce Go 7900gs in an Inspiron 9400, and I am running the 790GSUOV ROM file.

I am running stable at 600/800. ATITool produced a peak temperature of 92 degrees, but while playing Doom 3 (at 1920x1200, very high quality) I'm seeing temperatures peaking at 85 degrees, although alt-tabbing during gameplay showed a temperature of 72 degrees.

Thanks again for this awesome BIOS! 600/800 has turned out to be perfectly stable even while playing with the laptop on my lap.

Also, I should mention that the overclocking, combined with upgrading from the v83 nVidia drivers to the v92 Dell drivers, and a bit of tweaking of settings (no visual quality degradation can be seen), resulted in an increase in my 3dmark05 from 6411 to 9232
