thats not really true. its easier to OC go7900gs then go7900gtx. its beacuse go7900gtx allready use 1.24volt from the beginning, (go7900gs gets the last volt-boost. 1.24 - 1 = 0.24 volt more)

Really. Then explain results like these. I have seen plenty of 7900GTX hit these marks and beyond. And this system is almost identical. [quote=Firestarter]So here are my results (only 3DMark cause I don't have CS) System: T2600 (2,16 GHZ) | 2 GB DDR2 (667 MHZ) | 17" WUXGA (Sharp 13C1) | 512 MB 7900 Go GTX | 100 GB 7200 RPM | XTreme-G MobileForce 91.31-v2.40a | Clocks @ 650/700 3DMark 05 default (10125 Points):

okay but if the card are close to the same why cant i break 10000? on 3dmark05.

and i downloaded the driver84.69, do i install the entire thing? or just like add the modded inf?

It's something wrong with my 7900GTX, I just OC GPU from 500 to 550MHz and playing Silent Hunter4. I saw small artifact sometimes. After OC memory from 600 to 620MHz I have artifact!
What it's wrong with this 7900? I have a new PA-15, new, fresh system.

This card I bought on the US ebay form auction:
Coul'd be someone look to this auction?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...6414&rd=1&rd=1

Without OC, everything is OK. UPDATE, it's not ok

Artifact start in to the firs test. I think, this 7900GTX is bad.

thats the same guy that i got mine from.
Did you have any problem with yours graphic card (after OC and without OC)? What kind of GPU did you bought?
well the 7950gtx works great, but i still dont understand why ppl get better scores than me with the 7900gs.
so i tried ati tool but it only once once i install it, as soon as i shut it down and restart it wont even recognize anything and yea, am i basically screwed on getting to turn up my clocks or what??
so my question would be: whats better, this unlocked bios for my 7900gs or the gsx mod (gtx bios)

IF you want to OC the hell of your gs-card, Juanlus 1.24 volt is the best. BUT its also gets a lot warmer. i use 1 volt, works awesome. the gsx bios its not that stable. if you OC with juanlus 1.24 volt flash, its gone be enough (and safer), trust me. mycrx. like i said before, go7900gs is easier to OC then the gtx-cards.

yea iknow ive oc my 7900gs for the past 6 months, ive flashed the bios and ran it at 600/800, then i used the gsx bios and ran it at 600/800 then i used that guys mod and ran it at the same, no i do not have a program to even check what my clocks are at, im on vista 32 bit right now and i love it, yesterday i flashed the bios to 600800 but im not sure if its at what i want, last night i ran 3dmark05 and got a 7700 down from my 8300 with windows xp, also i just ran it right now and on the first video i can usually pull around 3300fps i just got likie 2500 WTF???? anyone here with vista and a overclocked 7900gs?????
just tired bf2142, im getting 22fps yea wow vista is a joke i scored 45+ while overclocked on the same settings, i flashed the bios to nvflash -4-5-6 v600c800.rom, what is the problem???
Perhaps vista is the problem, can you dual boot with xp and try?
so ok i decided i dont want to use 1.24 volt, so im using juanlu's unlocked bios with no Volt mod. everything went fine, and right now im using atitools to change speeds, im running 415/585. no artifacts so far, but if i set say core to 440 or memory to 600 artifacts appear all over. is the 1v mod roof around 415/585 or is something wrong/different with my config.

What version drivers are you running?
Hey folks....I've been out of the GPU BIOS flashing/overclocking scene for a while now...I haven't had the need to overclock (been playing GTA-SA Multiplayer SA-MP and it runs great on the GS standard).

I now have Test Drive Unlimited and it is a HUGE strain on the GPU...

I am running Vista Ultimate (32) with the unlocked 1.24V optimized BIOS.

I remember I used to be able to get the memory up to 800 or even 700 with no problem, but now anything over 650-700 just crashes Windows and I have to restart...

What sort of core and memory clocks are people getting on Vista? What drivers are people using?

I am using AtiTool to O/C...is this what people are using?

Thanks!

I'm running a dual boot of XP and Vista. In vista I'm running XG Mobile 101.70 driver and using ATI Tool to clock it. At 653/850 it scores 9753 in 3dMark05. In Xp I'm running XG Mobile 97.92 and using ATI Tool to clock it in at 653/850 and it scores 9835. I chose ATI Tool for the ability to make profiles. I really don't have a need to have my card overclocked at all times.
I'm using 101.70 drivers and flashed 790gsuon.rom but Atitools doesnt recognize the hardware and i cant change any setting through it. had installed coolbits as well but cant see anything under nvidia settings.
Anyone has an idea how can i get control of the video card?
Thanks

Anyone has idea how to make ATITools working?
In Vista I have to right click the icon for ATI tool and select run as administrator.
