Unlocked Nvidia-Dell Video BIOS! Overclock your 17inch notebook Videocards! - Page 49

Hmmm.. still down for me... weird. Did you try to dl it just to see if it would start?
I opened the download box to start the dl in firefox and then closed it. So it should be up.

WTF..... I can't get the page to load. Can you link the site so I can make sure I'm trying the right one. This is really weird.

If I ever do find the iso, will it work with a rev 1 7900 gs?
Does anyone have, or know where to find, the stock bios for a 7900gs rev 1 for my m1710?
All of the bios files that anyone needs for stock or unlocked are linked in the first post.

Alternatively, if you wish to do heavy modding, create the roms yourself.
Cool.. but for some reason I can't dl the files. I can't get to the site as well... Not sure why, as it seems others do not have a prob with it. Is there a mirror link by chance?

Does anyone have the iso? I really want to give this a shot but can't get it off the site.

NVM.... I used my other computer and got the file.. Not sure why I couldnt get to the site on my lappy...

I did the flash using my 7800 GTX go, I used the 780GTXUN.ROM file, and it said the flash was successful. However, my clock speeds still do not stick! When I use ATItools, Rivatuner, or the Nvidia drivers themselves, if I make a change, then exit, then reload them, they are back to the default clock settings. I'm running an XPS gen 2... have I missed something?!

Also, I'm using windows XP, with geforce tony's 91.47s (which I know are older, but they are the only drivers that work properly for me).
I have locked a few cards through driver modification only. So I would recommend you just trying some different drivers for now if you are sure you flashed the right bios. Uh...I dont know which drivers to recommend for the 7800gtx though.
That's unfortunate... because on my machine the only drivers that will run CnC3, (literally with any others it crashes my entire rig) are 91.47. I'll check it out though, thanks.
Just install the drivers from another source then....use www.laptopvideo2go.com

You will have to replace the inf yourself but thats simple.
I've used Laptopvideo2go before, I know the .inf stuff. I'll try it, but, will that really fix it? I kind of doubt one of geforcetony's tweaks is 'disable memory/core clocking'...

I stand corrected, they do in fact stick now. Thank you!
Yeah I wish I could see tony's inf's but I am not sure if those are open to the public. Maybe I'll shoot him a pm. Until then, laptopvideo2go ftw.

So I have another n00b question... do these bioses alter anything other than unlocking the memory and core clocks? i ask because i notice that it says memory timings aren't optimized for mine, on the table on his site, and I'm having a little bit of a strange, new issue with Age of Empires 3, even when the card is not overclocked, a little stuttering/jerking as I scroll around that wasn't there before. Anyway, I thought I would ask before I flash back.
Since you only chose the unlocked bios, only one hex bit in the bios changes and this bit only controls overclocking through coolbits. The only way I could see you having problems now is if you overclocked your card too far.
Well, it's stable, and really a very subtle issue, and it only happens in that one program (that and I did a very conservative OC for not very long at all)... so I very much doubt it is damage to the card. Given what you have just told me, it's probably a driver issue, actually.
Sry I just see you said it happends even when you do not OC...I would have mentioned drivers but I just do not see how changing that one bit could make the card perform any differently when using the same drivers. Some people recommend reinstalling drivers after flashing however but I have never noticed the difference.

sorry if this has been answered but how come there is no memory optimized 7950 gtx bios on the site?
