e1705 c2d vs 2.16

im configuring a dell and am not sure which cpu 2 get. Going from 2.0 to 2.16 is another like 175 and im wonderinf if down the road that faster speed could help me out in my applications??? ALso how much of a difference will i see in overall performance/???

Let's put it this way, you won't be able to FEEL the difference. 160Mhz is a pretty decent jump though, considering that a 160Mhz difference today means much more than the same jump back when we hadn't hit the 1Ghz wall yet. Honestly though, unless you are doing time critical and cpu intense operations (aka Divx encoding, MP3 encoding, file compression, etc...) then it all comes down to whether or not the 175 bucks is expendable. Short point - No, you will not feel the difference but the difference is there. Not necessarily worth the 175 dollar premium though. Spend your money if you have it to blow
