sager 8882 get old

Hello I have a very good sager 8882 from 11/2002.
after 4 yesrs of very good services I had some troubles with the overheating.
I cleanned the heatsink and sometime window do not want to start up only after the notebook cooldown for few minutes. Did somebody have the same problem, What I should do ? before I buy a new one.
Any help will be appreciate.

When you cleaned the heat pipes - did you completely remove all of the old Thermal Paste/Tape and then clean off all the gunk, and use something like AS5 to apply between the CPU and Heat Pipes. If not, do so. If you did that, then do it over because you may have used too little or too much AS5 or misapplied it so that there is an air gap between the CPU and Heat Pipes.
