Wireless driver problem on 9860

I reformatted and needed to reinstall drivers for my wireless. I don't have my driver CD on me so I was going to use the drivers off of Sager's site. I have one of the first versions of the 9860 so it is the none blue tooth model. When I installed the drivers provided on Sager's site, they just install some utility and it does not appear as if any drivers are installed. I do not see any wireless card in the network connections.

Do I need the drivers straight off my disc or am I missing something?
Thanks, Scott

I believe you need this one:

Windows
6833 802.11G Wi-Fi Mini-PCI Module Driver for Windows XP (Version 4.1.20.30)
09-Jun-05
12178 KB

MSI_6833A_4.1.20.30.exe is the name of the file.

Yea...that is what I downloaded. There are a bunch of random files in there but when I try to do one of the installs it says something about wrong OS.

Anyone have the original driver with the WAN utility from the CD? If so, I would be much obliged if you sent it to me through AIM or gave me a solution.

Okay found my old install disc for the wireless...Solve one problem, create 5 more. My wireless at home is finicky. I dunno if its my computer or the linksys but I always have trouble connecting to it. I have to usually go plug it in with an Ethernet cable and then it is able to connect wirelessly. Can't do either now...

All my usual tricks failed. I think I might try resetting the linksys unless anyone else has a better trick.

EDIT: Nevermind.... windows wireless was interfering with the one that comes with the drivers. Damn windows...
