The 7900 and 7950 cards are not supported by BF2142 but the 7800s are. Beats me how the 7900 cannot run the game. What I get is a CTD launch the game get a black screen flicks a bit tries to switch the card and then crashes to desktop no errors no nothing takes all of 30 secs to CTD.
thanks the new drivers are a worthy download but still no result - already had the latest patch but still all signs point to the 7900 not being compatible - make nill sense i know. but maybe i'll find someone here who has the same notebook and just by pure persistance has got itt up and running with bf2142
I don't have the game but I'll take a guess. As with BF2 it is set to run at a default 60hz on the monitor. My monitor runs at 61hz. If you try to run it will crash to desktop. You need to go into the folder in my documents and open the video.con file (in profiles, default) and change the res to 61 instead of 60. That's what I had to do with BF2 anyway, and would guess this is still the problem with the 2142 problem you are havin.
thansx dude think ou have sumfin there however the refresh is not referenced in the video.con file in bf2142. i read that the refresh needs to be over 60 hertz but the notebook display only does 60hz. so still stuck - it must be something simple i'm missing.
