After having my notebook repaired by Phillips (MicroMedics), my fan never stops blowing at maximum speed. It's always on and always loud. When I first got the laptop from Sager, my fan would only go up to max speed about 1-2 times in 10 mins, now it's constantly running. I've taken out the heatsink and have cleaned the dust out of it...but to no avail. Does anyone think its a BIOS issue? Or perhaps I just need some Arctic silver5? Any help would be appreciated...thanks.

good god. i was looking at this forum for the same exact problem. i had my laptop repaired for overheating and had it sent out to micromedics and they put my motherboard fan on constantly high. it did little to resolve the problem and id rather control the fans myself with 'get thermal' then deal with the noise it produces now. i cant even change the settings with the get thermal utility or in my bios. if anyone knows a way to reverse or have an idea of what they may have done it would be greatly appreciated here as well. i have tried calling them but work and the travel i do with it has conflicted with their hours of operation so i hope to find an answer here aswell
