Vista RTM and Azureus

Anybody using the final build of Vista been able to get Azureus working? I did some googling myself, but haven't gotten very far. The error spawns from the Java JRE, of which I have tried all versions including the latest beta of the developers kit. Here are the errors I get currently...
Code:
This application has failed to start because MSVCR71.dll was not found.
Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
Then this error...
Code:
The JVM could not be started. The main method may have thrown an exception.
If anybody has had any success at all with this please let me know!

Have you tried using the beta version of Java. JSE6 I believe it is.

You should be able to d/l the DLL from here (http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dl...shtml?msvcr71). As far as JVM goes, thats Java Virtual machine and you can go to www.sun.com in the downloads section and get the latest JRE. It is compatable with Vista. The problem is that Vista does not come with a java compiler and Azureus is a java based torrent client.

Yep, I have tried all of the newest (including beta) JVM and JRE clients... for some reason the same error keeps coming up. I have read in other places that people have gotten Azureus to work, and since it's always been my favorite bittorrent client I want to try for the same results... thanks for the suggestions so far guys!

ah....I remember this one...well, the DLL error anyway...

do a search in google for that DLL...download it and put it into /Windows/system32
That will fix that problem (from memory you MAY one other DLL error after this).

As for java, im using beta 6 and its working fine (vista final). didnt have to do anything special.

Thanks scotsman, I had wondered if it would be just that simple I checked around and found the msvcr71 file comes with many programs such as 3DMark06 and Microsoft MapPoint. So I already had a good copy of the dll file, I just copied it to the System32 folder and all is well now. I appreciate the assist on that one. Had I been using XP I would have already tried that method, but being Vista is a whole new can of worms I figured it best to find somone thats tried it already

Anyway, so far I am absolutely impressed with Vista Ultimate. I love the new task manager features that let you see every detail about what is happening behind the scenes. The other benefit so far has been that everything was detected without hassle, right down to the SD card reader. I still have to get the XD card reader installed, as its the last Base System Device in the list... I will get around to it eventually. The latest NVidia drivers also work rather well, at least in my limited testing. Glad I made the switch!

Anyway, thanks to all of you for the suggestions and help! Merry Christmas to all of you!

Where did you snag it from PCGeek? I found a couple of broken links to it yesterday and ended up going nowhere. Is it pretty solid thus far?

yeah its solid thus far... loads of aggregated HD content as well... new look.. more Web 2.0ish.. but it still allows for the older (PRO) level that we love in 2.5 version

There is a banner link on the azureus page at sourceforge but here ya go...
