dv2000 chirping/buzzing noise when run on battery power

Hi Guys,

Got an HP laptop brand new and when run on battery power I get this weird chirping buzzing noise which comes from near the touchpad. the pitch of the noise changes with scrollwheel use and mouse movements.

any ideas if this is a feature of this series or a one off flaw?

yeah i am going to do this, but i wondered if the prob was with the laptop or the actual model. I have since found a model in store to have the same fault, so I think the DV2000 has a build issue.
