XPS 1710 Owners care to lend a hand?

So in a week or so I'm getting a pretty loaded XPS 1710 at a great price and plan on formatting it once I get it. So I was wondering if anyone could lend me a hand and list the drivers I would need to download for my tobe lappy so I can download 'em now not worry about it once I recieve the laptop. It would' save me a lot of time ^^

Appreciate it if you could

WOW
That is one hell of an impressive driver download site!
WELL DONE DELL!

It's simple (you don't need a Degree in Fortran to figure out what you need), straightforward (only pertinent drivers are listed) yet comprehensive (lists all applicable computers).

There's even a connect to live service if needing assistance.

This takes a lot of the frustration out of reformatting.

In addition, I'd just like to throw a bone to Dell for the fact that although they do install a lot of Bloatware on new systems (well hell, they get PAID to do so!), it seems they at least acknowledge that savvy customers are probably gonna wipe and re-install and have tried to make the effort as painless as possible.
Good for them, and good for us!

Install the Dell Notebook System Software first, Intel chipset second then the rest of the drivers in any order.

with the subtraction of the dell notebook system software, I agree. I just install dell quickset after the fact off dell's site.

The NSS is not Dell Bloatware, it makes the use of docking stations and USB devices happy. There is debate whether it should be run before or after the chipset (Dell says before). I don't think it matters.

forgot about quickset... does help to have video drivers installed prior to installing it

Thanks a lot for the input guys! But I got another question...

Would I only need the INF Update Utility [INFINST_AUTOL.EXE] from the Intel chipset site?

yes

Oh, and do download the gigabit network driver before reformatting, as Windows does NOT have that driver built-in. So you won't get net access to download it...
