is it true that if you try 2 cancel your dell order at the last minute they will give you like an extra 100 bucks off your total. The reasoning be that they nay not be able to resell your system because no one else may want your specs that u ordered???

yes its true, they like to offer you a bunch to keep it since if you say you don't want it, it will be put into the outlet as a refurb. Which would result in them getting less of a profit.

Not too wise to be posting things like this tho' as there are dell spies about around these forums. And though it is mostly harmless, they do manage to change policies now and then.

WOW Please don't be a dick. Don't try an exploit Dell like that. Its more of a hassle to get it returned.

I agree with vengance_01.
Though Dell may be a huge corporation, they can just as easily get irked by little exploitations as any other business.
Wouldn't take much for them to implement a "restocking fee" and call your bluff.
