New Mac user needs help!

I just bought my girlfriend a 13" Mac Book for Christmas. She and I are both fluent PC users and so far this thing is totally foreign. We both thought it would be perfectly intuitive like everyone claims but maybe we are so ingrained in the PC rut we can't see the simple stuff. Does anyone know of a good site where a long time PCer can go to get up to speed on the Mac?

im really surprised any pc user can have a hard time with a mac though

We are having problems downloading files in particular. She had tried to download AIM (don't ask) and is wants to save it as an .xls file. Xpod it calls a .doc file. There are other questions too. Thanks for the link.

AIM? xls? uh no, thats an excel spreedsheet ext.

try out adium, screw aim (it lets u use aol)
