inthekeys, actually we all need your presence here at the Sentias to continue to dispute any wrong that is placed on the Alienware Sentia. This is probably a good wake up call as to how far it has gone with the arguement between the Area 51 crowd and the Sentias (or for any comparison arguement). The Sentia is an Elite crowd and one that you might try to walk away from but will never hide.

Are you seriously leaving because of "This place has become a gamers whipping boy forum and I can't stand my sentia bashed anymore. Too many HP and Compaq cry babies around" - It's just text! Are you seriously getting pissed at text? I sometimes don't even consider people are typing anymore, I would just say 'blah' and think of all these utterly retarded opinions some people have as 'text', nothing more.

Anyone gives you static about your Sentia, you tell them I've got a boom stick they can chew on with their gimpy paw.

I feel the same way about my Sentia. Everytime I see a post bashing it, I feel like I should lash out. But this would just feed the ensuing flame war to follow. I do understand why you lashed out - I feel the same way.

When I first found this forum and asked questions about the Sentia, nobody had one and I had to rely on the reviews at CNET which did not have anything different than what I have found in Alienware's site. I took the plunge and was the first in this "gamer" forum to get the Sentia. I wrote my review for others who are desperately searching for information about the Sentia. If you do a search now for "ALIENWARE SENTIA" you will find that this forum is now the first hit on the first page of GOOGLE. This forum is now very visible with the many inquiries and reviews of Sentia buyer and owners.

Believe me when I say that I need you here. I wish for you to stay...

I'm not really aware of your whole situation, but as a long time Alienware customer and forum traveler, I've had to develop a thick skin when it comes to Alienware haters and bashers.

I can only imagine it's worse if you have an Alienware that isn't primarily designed for gaming.

I've noticed that most bashers don't own, or have any experience with Alienware products, and their main motivation is to try to believe their beige box Dell, hp, compaq... is just as good as an Alienware. This is simply not true.

I remember being over at Dell's forums, I showed a bunch of them that not only did Alienware outperform the XPS thing, it was also less expensive for the same configuration. I then pointed out that Dell doesn't use fully featured motherboards as they have theirs rewired so you can only upgrade some components through Dell. The guy told me that wasn't true, that Dell uses the same motherboard as AW, but they had to cut one end off in order to fit it in the XPS case... LOL!!!

I hope you reconsider leaving, and see these basher gamer boys as the insecure wannabe's they are. You should be proud to be an informed consumer that bought the machine that was built for your needs rather than someone that has a powerhouse for word processing.
