I've been having some difficulty with XP64 on my EX7. I can install the sound drivers fine after applying the updated Microsoft UAA driver, but the item itself just keeps telling me it's unable to start.
I initially wiped the drive and reinstalled Windows, but the same problem is still there. Now I've uninstalled, installed, restarted to and from safe mode more times than I care to recall, and browsed over even more useless Google results so I figured it was time I asked my own question...
Anyone out there had this problem with this device on this system with this OS and knows how to fix it, aside from buying some lame Creative card?

Finally managed to get it working. I don't know why the install finally took after the 50 or so installs over the course of two days, but the audio is up and running like a champ. Looks like Virgil was wrong, fortune doesn't favor the bold so much as it favors the persistant.
