Hi!

I´m trying to watch DVD movies and the movie laggs. It doesnt lagg as hell but it seems that every 1.5 seconds intervall you see that the frame is not flowing contionously.I tried to choose DMA settings on IDE channels, update my graphic card, deleted unnecasary programs. But no go . Also tried diffrent dvd players and win media player, classic media player,VLC, divx you name it, no go . My RAM is 1gb and CPU load is only 60% during load. What is the problem?

I´m trying to update my DVD player but can´t find the adequate drivers. The exact name is "slimtype DVDRW SSM8515S"

Anyone who know´s how to fix this anoying problem and where i can download the driver for SSM8515S.

Comp spec:

Acer Aspire 5102WLMi (AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-50 1.6GHz, 1GB RAM. 120GB HDD, Windows XP media center edition.
ATI mobility radeon X1300 128mb

Thanks in advance

Problem solved...

I guess i helped my self, all i needed to do was to uninstall primary channels and secondary channels on IDE/ATA/ATAPI controller in a row. It didnt work with uninstalling item by item and reboot every single time, just uninstall all of them in a row and therafter reboot the computer. My computer changed the PIO setting to DMA and Ultra DMA mode by it self after the reboot, and also updated the driver´s by it self..

But remember one thing i noticed during the uninstall of the channels and that was that the first primary channel if you have 2 of them will still stay on even though you try to uninstall it but disregard it and just continue uninstalling the rest and when your done REBOOT.

Now my dvd player no longer causing me lagging whenever i try to watch a DVD movie.
