9750, overheating issue

Hey guys, this issue has been going on for about one week. My 9750 is just getting way too hot, I mean more so compared to 8 months ago when I got my laptop. In addition, there has been an increase in the "humming" sound, and I'm not running any programs what so ever. If anyone else is having the same problem, or a solution, or explanation, that'll be awesome.

8 Months - Maybe, it's time for the machine to be "cleaned out".

I have the very same system as you. It was also getting warmer and the fans were getting louder.

I flipped it over, and opened up all the panels and cleaned out as much dust as I could.

Opening the plate on top of the GPU fan and cleaning out the dust and debri helped the most it seems. Its right near the Memory Card slots.

Try using external coolpads/fans- target the front left corner above and below video card. I am forced to use extensive external cooling to keep my Go 7800 GTX from overheating and throttling down. I'm actualy now building myself a custom cooling pad with 5V fans(USB Powered) so it doesn't look as ridiculous.

Also, when not in gaming or other graphics intensive programs, simply go into the PowerMizer tab of the control panel and drag it to maximum power settings- just be sure to turn it back up for gaming!
