Which 15.4" w/o color shine?

Ok Im looking for an asus 15.4" laptop without a glossy screen. The reason is that I will be using the laptop out doors quite a bit and I need to be able to see the screen without all the glare. I have the w3v and the glare is real bad when I use it outside.

I'm not sure, but the V1J might have a matte screen. None of the other ones do, though.

I think they all have a glossy screen. Most laptops now have them.

The V1JP has a glossy screen, and I believe the V1J has a glossy screen, Mselley has a V1J.

If you don't mind going to previous generations of laptops, you may be interested in the ASUS Z70va, it is a 15.4" notebook with high resolution matte screen, using a Pentium-M and X700.

you could seek a reseller and have him install an older screen. Im not sure how much modding would be involved.

Well I have a z70va which is what I showed my friend whos looking to get a new laptop but I cant seem to find them for sale anywhere since its just the new ones are for sale.
