I guess nobody is using these labels, although they are for sale everywhere.

Very odd, I'd say ...

Back in the mainframe days we would label keys with stickers like these, typically keys that had an alt+function and they would last for a while, but they would wear out quickly. In your case however they may wear slower than your keyboard. These also look to be a vastly improved product over the ones I used 15 years ago. I say if you like it, try it, you can always take them off.

Well then, I guess that would make Rob somewhere around 144 years old Hey! Rob must've been one of the construction guys that worked on building the Brooklyn Bridge! Anyway, about the key stickers. I worked at an auto parts place years ago and my boss made me put those dumb things on all 30 or so of our keyboards there... Needless to say I was praying for relief later on as the carpal tunnel set in... (took me almost 3 days to get all the keyboards done due to trimming the stickers and cleaning each keyboard first...) The building we were in had no air conditioning, and within about 2 months the adhesive behind the stickers became sort of runny and they started sliding all over the place. Before you know it there were parts guys putting stickers ALL over the place. I ended up being blamed for my boss's bad decision and I was asked to remove the stickers. This took much longer than putting them on, because now I had to clean all that runny sticky goo off of each key. This is a fiasco I will NEVER subject myself to again... (though I may look back and laugh about it now.. lol)

Hmm, that doesn't sound too good. But I notice that some of the products I referred to in the top post actually advertise their high quality adhesives, so maybe things have improved?

Yep, just the soft pads of your fingers are making contact. I do find the prices of these overlays (often up to $20) a bit on the steep side though.

Yeah, this was about 2 1/2 years ago now. I don't even remember where he got the darn things... I don't recall there being a brand name on them so that may have had a lot to do with it also.

I suppose at this point, it wouldn't hurt to try them. If you don't like them, you're not out a whole lot of money. If you love em, well then you hit the jackpot! Good luck either way you go with it!
