ANyone here an RTS gamer?
Well you know about the Supreme Commander game coming out this early part of the year....

Do you think that if I get a 5750 this will be ok?

Thanks

From what I've read in the beta forums at www.supremecommander.com I don't think so.

Even higher end video cards have problems holding the game at a good fps.

Supreme Commander also optimizes multi-threaded CPU's.
So in order to run SupCom late game(when there's like 1000's of units) to go on w/o lag you would need something like a C2D

The 5750 does have a core 2 duo dual core processor... I'm not sure about the vid card requirements for that game though or whether it'll run the game well at high settings...

UPDATE
Just got the full game yesterday 2/23, haven't put it on the lappy yet, running on my tower which is a:
P4 3.4Mhz
1.5 MB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS (512MB RAM)
Windows XP Pro

I would expect it to run poorer on this maching that on the Alienware because of the difference between the P4 and the Core2Duo
It seems to run well even when there are lots of units made.

I don't think you going to have a problem

ive run it on a similiar configuration as imaglin it runs great no problems at all, teh x1900 really helps the game too i got an increase of over 15fps, it doesnt sound as much but before i was getting around 20 to 25 average while on a big battle now its up to 40's
