Hi Im a University Student and I need a laptop. Iv been reserching which laptops are suitable for my needs for the last 3 weeks or so but cant decide which Model to get, as well as getting fairly confused about Hardaware.
My needs are as follows;
productivity normal Microsoft Office software for reasearch etc.
Watching movies, DVDs and surfing the internet
Some fairly high end Graphic design work. Large Photoshop files, Cinema 4D 3Ds MAX. Multiple applications running at once. Photoshop, Illustrator, Firefox, Windows Media player, NOD32 antivirus and several other applications running at once.
Some moderate Gaming at medium settings/ resolution. i.e FEAR / Half life 2/ Quake 4
Im Thinking that the followsing specification should meet my needs. based on the spec of Hp Dv2036ea
CPU; 1.6 AMD Turion 64 X2 / Intel core 2 duo 1.6 T2250 or better
RAM; 1GB or better
HDD; I need at least 80 Gig but would want a higher capacity
GPU; ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 / Geforce 7600 or equivalent
SCREEN; 15 inch/15.4
DRIVES; Dvd Rw
Iv looked through the past forum threads and searched through the site and I cant quite make my mind.
I like the Hp Pavilion Dv2000 series with Intel Core 2 duo, 2 Gig of Ram and Geforce 7400. Although Im thinking the graphics card is on the weak side. I would like some advice on the most suitable/ fastest mid range graphics card I can get at the moment
I would be greatful if anyone could give me some advice on similar models that I could get, baring in mind my needs. My bugdet is around £900.
