Nice setup, got the same rig (minus ram ug) for about 6 weeks now. You should be able to knock at least a couple hundred off that price though. Have you checked out the coupon page on this site? I got mine for about 1350 with a coupon and going through the Dell EPP site. I wouldn't change much about your setup, don't go for that HD audio it's a waste. They're really killing you with that ram upgrade, you can buy 2gb of 667 from newegg for about 180 and sell your old sticks to save some dough. You'll love it no matter what, Enjoy

I have the same setup as you. Got it a few days ago. Very happy so far besides haveing to restart my system(corrupt registry file according to dell). I play bf2 on max setting and aa at 4x. I get around 50+ fps. Wow on max res 1920 by 1200 and max settings. plays great too.Very smooth. Most of the time i alt tab between the 2 games.

Yeah I can understand where you are coming from. However, have you ever worked on a desktop system before? If so, I would recommend buying the memory elsewhere and put it in yourself. It is VERY easy. Took me less than 2 minutes to upgrade. Anyways, welcome to the forums and have fun with your new lappy!

Yeah, there's actually a seperate panel on the bottom just for the ram. Just unscrew a couple screws, remove the panel and it's right there. Pop the old out and put the new in, it's painless.

Is this warrenty legal or illegal im not to keen on ruining a new warrenty *facepalm* stupid me i always forget on most things with notebook components the ram is in a user accesible slot Mac minis, imacs, notebooks, other compact pcs also would this be a good stick i checked dells website and the 677mhz ram is pc5300 getting 2gb http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231116 or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145157 or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820146125 The numbers are amount of reviews Also with the ratings the first (g-skill) has very good ratings (150)(5/5) in the 1gb and the 2gb is just 2 sticks of it but shipping is less. The second has ok reviews (80)(4/5)(corsair) The third has crummy reviews (7) (4/5) (mushkin) Im leaning to the g-skill as i have heard they make good ram and have the highest ammount of reviews and highest score in all of the reviews for 1gb and 2gb modules

All those options should be equal, most notebook ram is pretty much identical and comes from the same factory. Those reviews on newegg are just about worthless, there are always a bunch of dopes who buy the wrong interface and then complain about how the product doesn't work.
No, it won't void anything and 5300 is the same as 677.

Any other suggestions or comments anyone?

For 1800 check the Dell Outlet for an M90 refurb with a 2500m. Ive seen them as low as 1600, and the 2500m will absolutely blow the GS away, unless you plan to OC the GS. If you do the GSX mod it will come close the 2500m but will run hotter.

I'd say that's a pretty nice setup. Don't worry too much about the warranty, if you feel the need to have a longer warranty term you can upgrade to additional years later on. As others have said you might still be able to find a slightly better deal.

I would upgrade the Warranty to Complete Care, even if you initially go one year, you can always extend it later.

With Complete Care you get the very important Accidental Damage Coverage.
