My Sager NP 5960 has just arrived. I am taking pictures of it as of now so I can get a review out for others thinking of getting one.

Congrats,
waiting to see what kind of 3d scores you get. (hoping the low ones i got were just because of something wrong with my original laptop - replacement should be in this afternoon according to UPS)
Im thinking the tl-56's are a real bottle neck in these systems. did anyone
else ever give you a definitive answer on if the tl-64s will ever be produced? (be nice if amd would actually update thier roadmap - or if not, actually produce the tl-60s in enough quantity that they will be available retail wise)

Huh, congrats Jascias? ? A problem right out of the box? Can you say what was wrong with the display? I thought hypersonic was supposed to do 72 hours worth of testing before they shipped stuff out. I mean, if your going to to spend (my future case) upwards of 4-5 grand (paint job with all the bells and whistles), everything should work 100%. My faith is starting to wane. Keep us posted on your AX20.

Keep your faith up. The system itself runs great. My display had light leakage on the bottom right due to pinched or warped bessel. My roomate who works at UPS has seen this one other time before and it was cause by ups throwing boxes around, so it may or not be hypersonics fault. Ether way they stepped up to fix it. So hopefully friday everything will turn out ok.

hows the laptop comming along? I havent even had a chance to start a review of mine yet. the new system runs great but still getting roughly the same scores for 3d 05 (mid 9000s) and 06 (mid 6000s). also still thinking the tl-56 is the major bottle neck in these systems. i will definately replace the cpu when the tl-64s come out, maybe even when i can find a tl-60 for a reasonable price just untill the 64s are available. are you using the stock clevo video drivers or have you found something different that works?
one of the best things about this laptop is the remarks other people make when they see it for the first time, i think i got about half a dozen each "holy crap" and "thats fricken awesome"

Hey Zoramac, Not much news lately, I talk to the supervisor today on the status of my system. He informed me the hold up was the shipment of a new screen from the manufacturer,
which sucks for me. He says it will be there tomorrow and they will swap it out first thing and ship it next air. (Here's Hoping)............ sigh (bangs head against wall).
Yeah it is a bottle neck to a point, but between the 5950 and this one, I can tell the difference. The NP5960 does run smoother (real world performance wise) and the cpu temps doesn't run as hot. It sucks that the we can't measure the temps of the video cards tho.

Hey Jascias,
Gorphn, over at notebookreview posted a good tutorial on monitoring mobile ATI & Nvida video card temps by using Rivatuner 2.0 RC16.1. Take a look:

I got my directly thru Sager and have absolutly nothing but positive things to say about them. Even when i had to return the first one for light leakage around the screen, they gave me no problems whatsoever and cross shipped a replacment. Still havent had time to do a review on it yet, other than its awesome. the only even moderatly negative thing id have to say about it is that I would like a faster processor in it, but thats not Sagers fault, its AMDs for not having enough of them to stock everyone.
