Dell-none with 2 hard drives?

I would like to get a new Dell, but none have 2 hard drives. Are they going to have any new models with 2 drives? Is there any way to add a second drive to the E1705 or other models? Would like to add a 200gb 4200 rpm for storage.

No telling whether the future models will have 2 drives in them and no the E1705 can't have 2 drives in it. Just plug in an external. A 200gb 4200rpm would be piss slow. I'd wait to get one until they are atleast 5400rpm.

If you want storage...some Alienware laptops can be configured to have dual hard drives and can have up to 200GB each in either raid0 or raid1. Or try searching other makers and see if they offer dual drives.

The Dell XPS M2010 is the only Dell notebook that can be configured with 2 simultaneous hard drives installed with optional RAID support.

All latitude D Series laptops support a 2nd hard drive in the system's modular bay. However it is a second hard drive and cannot be put in a RAID array. The M2010 is the only Dell that supports RAID. The Inspirons can support a 2nd hard drive with the help of a third party adapter that converts your Optical drive bay into a hard drive bay. The Dell DBay hard drive modules are on eBay all the time though. Grab one of them, insert a 2.5" PATA drive and you're good to go.
