Battery life?

Hey guys, new to the forums. I'm considering getting a Sentia 3450, and I'm just curious how everyone is doing as far as battery life. I know its rated at about 3.5 hours, but I've read a few reviews of people getting as little as 2 . So what kind of times have all of you been seeing? FYI I'm planning on going with the 1.66 Core2 and a 5,400RPM Hard Drive.

I have been averaging 2 1/2 to 3 hours. That is with brightness two clicks down from max, wi-fi on, 3 chat programs running, Word, and occasionally powerpoint. I also use a Logitech G7, but not sure how the receiver affects battery life.

ive been getting 2+ hours but thats because im basicaly tryin 2 run it down on purpose to get the most out of it. but once school starts ill be turning down the brightness and wifi to get max battery life and ill be able to give a better idea then but i dont see why 3+ hours couldnt be logical.

mine usually lasts for about 2.5hours, wifi on, reading/writting emails and listening to some mp3

That kinda sucks. What cpu clock / hard drive speed do you have?

cpu is a core2duo 2.0 2gb of ram and 120gb 5400rpm HDD

Sounds pretty good- was thinking of getting one of these myself; replacing the macbook pro with it I mean...
