it really sorta sucks that more companies don't support vorbis.... then again because its use is primarily limited to the linux world... perhaps its quite fair since quicktime formats (which are apple's media everything..less acc) are also pretty rarely supported. manufacturers must dish out MP3 support first and foremost since thats what 90% of the world uses as their primary format.

![]() the $100 cuts off the option to get one of those uber-sexy iriver flash players so lets see what IS available (under $100) Sandisk Sansa (actually getting pretty good reviews): 1GB for $57 : http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Sansa-...&s=audio-video 2GB for $80 : http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-SDMX3-...&s=audio-video Sandisk Sansa C250: (nicer than the above model) 2GB for $86 : http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-SDMX7-...&s=audio-video Creative Zen Nano Plus : 1 GB for $66 : http://www.amazon.com/Creative-Nano-...&s=audio-video MobiBLU 1GB Cube for $70 http://www.amazon.com/mobiBLU-DAH-15...&s=audio-video all of the above are a better deal than the shuffle b/c they give you more features (like the FM radio you want)... the 1GB models are also cheaper than the shuffle, and for the price of a 1gb shuffle (or just above) you get 2gb ![]() |
found a beltclip... http://www.amazon.com/Sandisk-Sansa-.../dp/B000LTLHT8
dont know how useful that would be.
EDIT: just cracked open my H320 to try to fix the issue...the verdict is that it came out semi-fixed. like its not quite as bad as it was before where the right channel completely shuts off, but the situation is not yet perfect either. hmm
on the bright side i know know how to open it if i decide to keep the H320 and need to install a new battery (since mine is down to about 50% or 60% capacity by now....at 8 hours still pretty good though).

seems iaudio is on a roll right now, recently released the A3 (update to the A2) so perhaps an X6 is in the works to fix whats wrong with the X5...so i am keeping fingers crossed. but... here is an amazing thing that i found, really puts the nano to shame...

downside its only 4gb, i have 10gb of music and counting...and i really would have to have to periodically swap files in and out...i wanna have EVERYTHING on the player at the same time

way to go having to wait till CeBit....
Cowon has released the A2 replacement and the .85" 4gb player at CES, which is almost sad b/c they were expected to launch the X5 replacement. Now a little bird told me the X5 replacement (as well as a few other models) will debut @ CeBit in march....so we'll have to wait and see.
