i was never interested in the prescott. i had read some tom's hardware reviews of it ages ago and had decided against it from the start....
i'm going to go with a northwood 3.4 ghz.
that'll be more than good enough .. and have great resale value.
resale value is one of the most important things to me in this computer because i always need the "latest and greatest". (computers = bad hobby). heh.
so a year and half to two years from now, i'll be selling and getting something new. *shrug*.
maybe i'll be getting a gigantic prescott.
you know what they (intel) remind me of? 3dfx. Instead of advancing the technology, they just make it bigger and bigger and bigger. more heat, more power, more speed.
when will people learn that smaller = better? *shrug*.
we'll see what happens. if the prescott is 775 pins - maybe the next chip will be 1000+ pins. hahahahahaha.
what a joke.
