hi everyone!
I had some real troubles with the hard drive of my latitude d510, so i used the seagate disk wizard, and after a deep scan, it told me a "Zero Fill Process" would solve my hard drive problem. I did the low level format (it took like 2 hours), but right after the 1st reboot, my computer doesn't display anything, and i can't access to the bios
the fans/drives start properly, the keyboard leds are ON, but no display at all, and it shuts down after 2 sec.
Is there anyway i can restore my bios? I guess the bios was saved on the hard drive and not in a separated memory
thanks in advance
edit: OK so it seems that what's happening is just a security protection from DELL. I shouldn't have low level format my laptop, the system considered it as a "thief action"^^. I'll have to call DELL on monday and ask them the procedure to unlock it. topic closed!
