I thought it might be the ATI drivers, so I installed the new Omegas, which I did not yet have.

Same thing....game plays for a minute or two, then freezes, and I must power off. The blue screen error I get isn't checksum (sorry), it's:

DRIVER_IRQL_LESS_THAN_ZERO

or something similar. Anyone have any pointers on this? This beast should be able (and it appears others' do) to handle this game, yet I get this.

HELP APPRECIATED

Strange....seems like others are running the game fine.....

Have you tried AW support yet?

Yes, I used live chat earlier. He had me check some registry settings and turn off my joystick startup (because I wasn't using it at the time) and some other things and directed me to EA's site where they discuss sound issues. I've messed with the sound configurations per their suggestions a bit...it seems to work (or it did for about ten minutes, longer than before) when I have most sound qualities lowered completely.

What sound settings do you have on your laptops for this game?

I went back in and turned some things up, but it crashed again. When I get home I'll try bumping up one thing at a time until it doesn't crash I suppose...

I get the same blue screen every now and then. One time I got it when I pulled out my wireless card. Another time I got it when it was just sitting there with nothing running. I have no idea why it happens, though...I have no special wacky programs or drivers.

Artifacts with BF:VN

Anybody get odd artifacts in BF:VN? Holes in the ground, mirrored surfaces, strips across screen? I have tried most recent ATI driver and Omega driver and various settings with no luck.

Still very playable. BTW great game! Would rather not have the psychodelics!

Thoughts? Solution?

i got some strips across my screen when i was playing Farcry.... it was one of the early levels

like bars that came out of the cliff and streched across

WILD

JHO

also i think im the reigning champion of blue screens
