now that's just rude..
If they do this I will put them in the same boat I have sony in right now and I'm sure I won't be alone.
unless of course they offer a $100 upgrade or something like that, otherwise I'll be only playing the Wii (when I ever find one)

Fine Microsoft.

Good way to punish us early adopters.

Pirating games looks mighty fine right now.

Or should we call it Xbox 360 SP2 ahhahahaha

One have you not played and enjoyed the system you have had for over a year.

Two Nintendo does this all the time look at the GBA then the SP or the DS then the DS lite.

Three You are getting newer features that have been asked for by the community if you do not want said features then do not upgrade.

Oh and incase you havn't noticed all early adopters get punished you want to be on the bleeding edge there is a price to pay not just the upfront cost but having the most bugs and somtimes missing out on upgraded versions look at the current PS2 vs the First PS2.

I meant to say 120 gig's not 10 gigs, lols which is 10 less the current 20 gig, Duh! None of this means anything thought until the games move up to that. Currently the highest I've seen a game played on is 780 therefore I suppose it isn't a big deal right now, we'll wait and see.

The advantage i see to a larger HD is the ability to download and store more video ... e.g. movies and TV, assuming prices come down.

It would be surprising if they bring out a new 360 ( the 720???) before 2 years is up, but I don't mind. I imagine an external drive solution will be available for the rest of us, and I don't really need HDMI since 1080p works fine over VGA. I would like to see the HD-DVD as an internal drive, and not the add-on.

Yes and no, for some reason the HD-DVD drive takes up alot of memory I feel. At least more then most people think, and alot of that memory is within the actual drive as well. You'l notice that you have like 200 free MB's on your HD DVD drive. Along with the HD DVD you get 2 more USB ports or one extra assuming you use the drive for let's say a Wireless Adaptor. I like having 2 drives because I have drive specfically for my games and the other drive for Movies, All Movies. I'm sure the people who are using the xbox HD dvd drive with their computers are quite happy that it was being sold like this as well, lol. And I think that Many people are too Cheap and Hesitant to drop out 600 dollars for a Console system. I mean look at the PS3, how many complaints did you get on the price for that System? While the xbox 360 is really in the same boat after you add on the 360 price with an HD-DVD, 400+200= 600. The ability to customize this system to this extent has Severely Assisted Microsoft.

This is true, but you can get a Xbox 360, 4 games and 2 controllers for like 450...Can't right now for the PS3
