Hey guys, I cant figure out any way to get my processors on my sager 9750 to run at full speed when I am running on battery. I have the power scheme set to "Always On", but its STILL not running at full speed when I unplug it from the wall. Any suggestions?

I'm not sure how to make sure it stays at full speed, but are you sure you want to be at full speed on battery? It'll make your already short battery life even shorter.

Yeah well my processors are each running at 1 GHz instead of 2.2. and it makes my games run ultra slow. And I want to game on the go sometimes.

Has anyone tried using Notebook Hardware Control on a Sager to control performance? The latest version works perfectly on my 8790, although I haven't played with the performance controls while on battery much since it is always plugged in. There is a "max performance" option, which could help keep your processor running at 100% while on battery.

The latest version works on Pentium 4's? I thought it only worked on Pentium M's and the Core series processors.

It accurately shows the internal temps and clock speed of my P4. There are some settings that are unavailable, however.

This should help make em run at full speed

Hi,

Had the same problem with my 9750, procs (AMD 2.4) were stuck at 1GHtz.

This fixed it :-

Download the latest CPU drivers from AMD

http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/..._13118,00.html

This link :- (it's near the bottom)

AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 Dual Core Processor Driver for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 Version (x86 and x64 exe) 1.3.2.16

Install that and things should run nice and fast again. The last link on that page is a handy CPU speed monitoring program, looks cool too.

Hope this works for you

I assume you are running windows xp?

Xp has a problem correctly adjusting the cpu speed of mobile cpus. Microsoft released a patch for this, but its still hit or miss.

Download this free program to take care of it for you. You can also set the speed you want it to run at on the fly with a simple click.
