New power supply

Thread Starter
One of the first problems I had with my old HP computer was that the power supply started developing loose connections where the cables enter and exit the transformer, and where the cable connects to the computer. It was easy with the HP to go to Best Buy and buy one of those replacement power supplies (Targus or Juice or Kensington or something) because they show you which one to get for which PC. However, with my Hypersonic Aviator CX7, I'm not sure which I can get. I know that the computer takes a lot of power. Is 120 watts enough? The supply that came with the computer outputs 20 volts at 6 amps, which is 120 watts, but the 120 watt power supplies say "90 watts continuous, 120 watts peak." And then how do I figure out which connector to get?

Thanks!

The CX7 uses the Clevo M570U base model if i'm not mistaken. Doesn't look like they are readily available for aftermarket purchase. You should be able to contact hypersonic sales and support and purchase a spare.

they'll cost you about 90... preshipping.
If I'm not mistaken, the power supply has its own fan in there
Btw. voodoo widow, and others using this same case will be selling the same ac adaptor, just with their logo on it.
If you know your model numbers, you might be able to save a few bucks by looking around.
