Goodbye everyone

Thread Starter
I just realized this.. And, well, today marks the day when I can no longer be part of this forum. I've sold my E1705 and bought a macbook pro. I'm shipping the E1705, as well as receiving the macbook pro today. So after this, I will no longer have a 17" Dell notebook.

You guys have all been great, and I'll miss having the support of all of you. I may pop back in now and then with desktop questions (because the guys posting here are quicker than the guys in the desktop forums, and usually have a better idea of what they're talking about), and maybe to check out what's going on in this side of the laptop world.

So here it is, my farewell. Thanks to all of you, and goodbye . lol

Just keep in mind, If we see you out and about with your Mac, we are obligated to throttle your kneecaps!

The next Mac OS is actually looking really good, no more virtual Windows or Bootcamp, it will just flat out be able to run windows stuff. Pretty cool.

yeah seriously if we see you with the macbook we are definetly bound by the dell service agreement to smack the macbook out of your hands and stomp it repeatedly. we are also bound by the agreement to steal your money and credit cards and purchase more Dell equipment because once you've turned.... their aint no point to you living.

I mean, I don't make MobileForce drivers for Macs, so that alone will bring you back , LOL.

Huh? Say what? Where did you get that idea? All that is new on that front is that bootcamp will come integrated with the O/S. But there is no way the O/S would be able to run Windows applications, unless Steve Jobs suddenly decided to license the required software for doing this from Microsoft, and pay for it. Bloody unlikely, if you ask me...

Looooooooooooooser!

...envy...

But just because you're changing breeds doesn't mean you can't come and give words of advice regarding the Dell dawgs, right?
-No need to be a stranger is all I'm saying. All former Dell owner's experiences help. Maybe we'll see you in the General section answering a Dell question here and there.

...still a damn loser, though!

Heres a solution, should have kept both. LOL.

do you know what a dell laptop will do to a mac laptop in range of its wifi or bluetooth module??? DO YOU?!?!? apparently not or you wouldnt say such stupid things. A dell laptop as stated in the service manual at dell.com will engage in "warrior mode" where it uses the 3d card's GPU to generate a subsonic frequency that is transmitted over the WiFi or bluetooth module and causes the Mac laptop's ac adapter to up the voltage going into the laptop to burn the inputs on the charger. it says so right in the manual.

...but not before it sends an audio file of a speaker-ripping pop of 1 Hz. ...and a jpeg of your mama naked, which will destroy any GPU, and possibly crack the LCD.

It's all so true. Just read the fine print in the service agreement.

Then, after the ear-splitting 1Hz audio file... The laptop will then transmit what is commonly referred to as the "Brown Noise". So that you crap your pants in realization of what you've just done.
