Sager 8880 Wont Boot - HD Problem????

I have a Sager 8880 and it will not load. When I turn it on it keeps trying to load the HD or cd rom and it just won't. It keeps making a clicking noise. Sometimes but rarely, if I keep trying ( turning if off and on) it will load and then just stall on the first loading screen. Does this sound like the Hard Drive or cd rom is bad and needs to be replaced?

Sounds like your hard drive is dead. Try slaving it to another computer and see if you can pull any data off it.

Ok I replaced my hard drive and it booted up in a couple tries. I installed windows xp, zone alarm security suite and a couple of other things. Now when I was updating windows it locked up. When I tried to restart it it keeps trying to boot up the cd rom and it won't. It keeps trying and trying but the thing wont boot up. This is preventing windows from loading I would imagine. Anybody know what the problem could be now? CD Rom bad?

Well it seems to be the motherboard. Just not worth fixing. R.I.P Sager 8880 it was fun. If anybody needs parts then message me.
