I live now in Irvine. The Balcony tickets run for a high price because they're balcony seats. It's kinda cool watching flicks on a balcony, half of the reason why I get those seats is because of the leather seats, and the other half is because I get to sit in an Empty Area sometimes. We like it that way. I think another reason why I go here is the simple fact that they serve Beer. And the seats are reserved by number, so I can purchase the tickets over the phone and have them hold the Exact seats for me reguardless of what time I arrive. (I've often had to kick people out of my seats during opening nights, lol)

Only five good seats? In my theater I always sit in the back. Those are the best seats in the house.

Well, as the last movie I went to was in IMAX, seats are really important. Too close and you can't see jack and too far and you'll cut off the bottom. There's also the sound. If you're not in the middle then it's not centered

I just like watching stuff at home where I'm completely in control

Was just watching g4tv and they said it was rumored that the 360 is going to drop in price around 50$ in early August. Sounds kinda groovy if it happens.

Wouldn't surprise me, they're going all HDMI now, even the halo 3 edition one has it while the HDD is still only 20 gigs. I hate the let's milk every ounce of this Halo 3 release. I mean I admit the game is cool but the amount of extra BS you can pick up is starting to get out of hand. I mean you can get Clothes I'm sure, a Zune, Specialized Controllers, 360 EDition, a Helmet (yeah lol) , Headsets. I mean let the cow rest, this is starting to get disgusting or maybe it's just bad all together like spoiled milk. I could take my White 360 Controller Drink Spoiled milk and then Puke on it and I'd have the same thing. In the end I'm sure some kid is going to buy this thing, play the game non-stop never wash his hands or his controller and his own Sweaty hands are going to turn this thing into a Blurred up Mess, lol.

for 60 70 dollars you gotta be kidding me it comes with a Cracker Jack Toy as well

I'll definately by the Boxers when they release them later this month though.

ha, a guy I work with bought a Zune just because of the special Halo 3 edition.. he even paid more for it because it's the only one they didn't discount the price on

Agreed. I've got 2 home theater setups in my house right now. Theater prime is a 65" mitsu diamond dlp, and the bedroom theater is a 32" Insignia. I was originally planning on an aquos or a westinghouse, but this one uses the same panel as the aquos and for a cheaper price. Theater b has a 1200w panasonic system and theater prime has a 1000w panasonic. I've been using it as a temporary solution, but it sounds fine. One of these days I'm going to do my home audio right. I've been planning on using the closet in the far back end of the family room for a denon receiver and a sonos multi room audio system, but I just dont have the time or the money right now.

you can always invite over some 6 month olds, a few 10 years olds and about 30 16 year olds.. that'll make the experience almost totally authentic..

OMG I have such movie rage.

I think that's the one nice thing about the Movies I go to. It's deep within the city and you don't see alot of Famalies or Kids going to this one, I mean they do come but it's not often. Christ... They serve beer, so that tells you already it's not exactly the Family Atmosphere and they charge alot per ticket. But I'll only watch select films there, for the most part I'll be just buying HD DVD's and Blu Ray's from here on out.

One night long ago I had a girlfriend who took me to see Gladiator at an Imax Film. I think for some reason at the time the IMax would only show Imax films during the day and then blockbuster at night. So if you wanted to see Gladiator it had to be at midnight. It was great seeing Gladiator on an Imax, but the Facial Close Ups, made me feel sick or kinda dizzy for some reason, I might have been super tired, but I just remember hating the Close Ups. Maybe my seats were bad, I just can't remember now. Everything else was greatt though. Good thing I didn't have to pay for the tickets, lol, I still remember they were like 18 dollar tickets and this was YEARS ago. She had some vouchers for free tickets for an Imax Film, and picked Gladiator lol.

It wasn't you, I got some nausea too, but mine was mostly from the action and in the scenes where Spiderman was flying through the city really fast it was so blurry you couldn't see anything at all and you felt sick in the stomach on top of it.
My other problem was the extreme closeups on the face. I guess everyone has a hair sticking out of their face that shouldn't be there and they were about 5 feet tall on IMAX...
