Everything else is coming out for both systems, and if you compare the games that are coming out for both platforms.. the graphics on the 360 are better(that -could- change). And just FYI.. PS3 has the cell which is a good proc for some apps.. gaming not being one of them.. but if you compare the PS3's graphics card with the 360's.. the 360's is about half a generation ahead of the PS3's. If the PS3 was a superior system by all means I'd be defending them. But the truth is that judging it as a gaming console it leaves a lot to be desired. I will be buying one soon as a cheap BR drive, but that's about the only advantage it has. |
GOW is very cool, but Resistance Fall of Man is pretty sick too. It's not as good as Gears but it's pretty close in my estimation. I have never played it online, but all I hear about is the 40 v. 40 online mode that's supposed to be so amazing.
For PS3 exclusives Gran Turismo is always good, Mercinaries 2 looks pretty cool but so does Halo 3 for the 360. Since it's getting so expensive to make games I think you'll see exclusives made by third party companies going the way of the dodo. EA is the largest third party game distrubitor and how many console exclusive titles do they make? So while this loss of exclusives is a big point of argument for both the 360, MS lost Splinter Cell and a few other titles, and PS3 camps, I think that it will become a non factor over this console generation to a fairly desent extent.
I have no idea how the Cell relates to processing and graphics so I am not going to even talk about it. But another point to address, that Jinxed didn't mention but others have is this 360 sold more units than PS3 so that means it's going to win and the PS3 is a POS. The statement is true but you never hear anyone say that the PS2 sold more units than the 360 over the Holiday season. So does that mean that the PS2 is the clear winner of the console wars since it sold more units, of course not, it's not next gen and it sold because it's realtivily cheap, and they are still turning out good games for it because the devlopment cylce is so long for games.
Each system has its pros and cons, and at this point in the next gen wars it's too early to say what the defintive outcome is going to be.
