^ Early adopter syndrome. I know: I used to be an early adopter myself--when I bought my first DVD player, it cost over $700 and there were a grand total of 12 dvd titles available. Then came DivX...luckily straight DVD won out.
No thanks, I'll wait until those great games actually show up before I buy the machine. Otherwise, I'll have spent $600 for...basically an XBox 360 with a fraction of the titles. Oh, and a bluray player--another early adopter "thing", like my original DVD player.
With HD-DVD out there duking it out with Bluray, I want no part of the whole mess.
Again, I have nothing against the PS3--matter of fact, I'm rooting for it to do well (competition's good for the console industry), but why spend money for very little...right now?
