I got my laptop last Saturday and just noticed that I had a slight gap above the IR port. It look as if the top casing isn't down all the way. The gap is a little smaller then my index fingernail. Starts about an inch from the left of the IR to the middle of the latch button. I wasn't sure if this is the beginning of the warp that I have been reading about. I wanted to know if this is normal for Apple Cases? If not, what should I do?

this is pretty standard issue on any pro ive seen. plastic just doesnt fit exactly. could be something to do with it heating up and just not fitting right. could have something todo with there is no little plastic latch right behind the gap, so thats why its there.
ive got it on my 1st and 2nd mbp on both sides of IR

I've got it too, it's a quirck of owning a MBP, if you've ever taken it apart, in the front of the casing it basically "snaps" into place... very snugly I might add. If the front of your case is attached properly, which it should be, there isn't really any serious problem outside of the tiny fingernail gap.
