Acer 5100 - Key Damaged

Thread Starter
I received my Acer Aspire 5100 as a gift at christmas, A few days after, i realised the number 9 key was not responding unless it was given a harder press down on, and thought nothing of it. Till i looked at the key...The number 9 key is sitting at a slant angle, and was not damaged by myself at all. It's sitting slanty and the rest of the keys are fine. Is this a regular thing with laptops? Can it be fixed by myself?

I don't want to pop it out incase its connected in some way below the keyboard, unlike most pc keyboards.

Please give me your thoughts, and advice please

It will be much appreciated.

My keys just pop off.....I'd pop it off and press it back on square. A Cat (long story) proved this to me when her claw removed my control key, as she was walking across my keyboard
