Will I be able to upgrade from XP?

yes, it's quite capable of running Vista with the aero glass effects, etc. However, before you buy Vista, download the Vista Upgrade Advisor from Microsoft, which will tell you which of your current programs and drivers may have problems or not work in Vista.

Thanks for the tip.

Another concern is battery life. In my previous thread I indicated how my battery life is now 1:45 hrs instead of the 4hrs when I first purchased it. I wonder how Windows Vista would drain the battery..

EDIT:

"The minimum requirements for graphics cards from the major vendors include the Radeon 9500 from ATI Technologies and the GeForce FX from NVIDIA"

How does the x600 compare with the radeon 9500?
