FERAL DOGS ATE MY RAM and I'm pissed!
Had GBBG since he was a Kid. Think I'll invest in a couple of Irish Wolfhounds.
OK, as already explained, RAM is for programs in operation. what you need to do is remove those programs you are not using either temporarily (through task Manager) or permanently (through deletion).
A program (free) that will identify which is which for you is available here;
It tells you exactly what your running processes are and if they are safe to temp remove and/or delete.
It puts an icon beside each process, click on it and it will tell you the function of that process.
(as stated, finding out your processes is by clicking C-A-D
note - temp removal is just that, when you reboot they're back, so any program you are unsure of removing, do this ( essentially you're just shutting it down, not removing it).
