I recently ordered a z60t from ebay and it arrived. It is in perfect condition and I charged the laptop battery. However, after a day, I cannot seem to get the battery to charge.. It blinks the orange battery light and the power stays at 2% - it is definately at 2% because if I unplug the AC adapter it turns off. In the battery status it says the battery is in "good condition" and has only 8 cycles. It just doesn't want to charge. The laptop works fine plugged into the ac adapter. Is it my battery or is it a motherboard issue and how can I tell without spending money on parts that I don't need? Also, we have a small mom/pop pc repair shop around here that i don't think is going to stock lenovo parts to test and I really don't know what else to do. I live in South Central Ohio if anyone knows of a place within driving distance that can diagnose for me if I can't get an answer here. I do not care to purchase a battery or pay to get it fixed, just don't want to do both.
Here is a link to the auction to show you what a good deal I got on this thinkpad - it was pretty loaded with wireless capabilities and I really don't want to return it..
