M90: Really annoying problem with Alt+F4

Hey guys,
sometimes when I have a lot of windows open and I want to close all (or most of them), I'll hold down Alt+F4 and it will kill them all pretty quickly. Well, it will on my desktop, at least. On my M90, when I hold down Alt+F4, it will kill 2 or 3 windows, then pause for like 3 seconds, then kill three more, then pause. Even if I repeatedly press Alt+f4 while its paused, it will just ignore it. It sometimes does the same thing with the Enter key when I want to open up a lot of stuff at one time. What the heck is going on? Is this some sort of power saving feature or something(so you dont run down the battery if u leave something on top of the keyboard while its on batter?). This happens on both AC and battery power.

oh, and even if i dont hold down Alt+F4, if i just press it repeatedly it does the same thing. It's like a limit of 3 Alt+F4s for every 3 seconds or something.
