Review:Media Center XP on Sager

heres the story...my friend is a developer for microsoft and he got the media center xp for me...so i installed it and it is the same exact thing as xp pro...besides with the tv program...so i tried it out and the tv does not work...it says decoder not working....which people that actually have the media PCs are having problems also. so i couldnt really see the quality...but as for remote...it doesnt work...it wont detect the IR secsor thats on the lappy...the start up and shut downs seems longer too...but if the tv worked it would be a neat thing because it gets your tv guide from the internet from your local cable provider and it shows the schedule....which i cant test out yet either because the tv isnt working...lol....but as for music....its complicated...you have to put the music file in windows media player and then make it into a play list and then play it in the media center program....right now i have to go....but if u have any questions....post here and ill try to check more often

FYI: Punctuation and Capitalization are your friends. (Just to make it easier to read for the rest of us)

On topic though; isn't Media Center supposed to be installed on supported pc's designed specifically to run it? Of course all the features won't work correctly then :P

Thanks for the Review Cliff, I was debating on installing my Demo of XP media to see what all the fuss was about. Now I won't waste the time.

lol. Yes i made it. as for the other posts....seems like the onnly thing that doesnt work is the remote...since the people that actually has the media PCs are having trouble too with the tv decoder not working...but overall i would give it a 6...since the only difference is the little tiny program(media center)
