i had a virus on my computer and i tried to restore it to it's original factory settings. the only problem with that is when i try and turn it on, it comes up with the following message "inf file textsetup.sif is missing or corrupt. press any key to continue" i do that and it sends me back to this message and i don't know how to fix it.
we called the company and we got that the message appeared because i had been on battery power when i had been restoring my computer but that's a lie because my battery power hadn't been working for awhile.
i was told that they no longer carry the discs anymore because it's an older computer -- i've had it for almost 2 years now. and they also explained to me that there was one chance when i first turned on this computer to copy the restore information to discs since it is in my partition. i had not seen it and neither did my mother who had been there with me at the time.
i'd love to use this computer again, i just don't know what to do to fix my problem. any ideas?
