Which BIOS to use??

Hey all,

Today a technician came by my house to replace a faulty 6800 Ultra card and my lcd as well. He put in a 7800GTX so I got a free card upgrade. Sweet. My question though is: I have been using BIOS A04 for a long time. Is BIOS A05 better to use with the 7800GTX?

i think that the a04 is it better, uses more the fans, less temps, but you can use a05 and control the fans with i8k or i9k fangui

Congrats on the upgrade. Don't change the bios if there's nothing wrong with the system. THe E1705 's new bios is totally screw up the system with Deadly BSOD .

Yes, it's safe to upgrade to the A05.

khanhfat, we aren't talking about an E1705 here. It's a XPS Gen 2.

About the fan stuff, I don't know about you guys but with my XPS A05 BIOS, my fans run on like low-medium speed all the time.
