Hello everyone,
I've got a problem for sometime now and its driving me nuts! I've posted on 4 different forums without any luck so far!
Sorry for the long post but please take your time... i really need the help!
I got a new Acer Aspire 5633WLMi (5630) notebook. On it was pre-installed Windows XP Media Center Edition (OEM Version).
First, after logging into Windows I was prompted to create a 4gb recovery CD. Which I did!
Then I decided to install Linux Ubuntu 6.06 to test compatibility before I reformat the whole hard disk and start off fresh like I usually do with all my computers. So I decided to dual boot the system as not to harm the current pre-installed version of Windows XP MCE (OEM).
During the installation of Linux I found out that my hard disk (FAT32) has 2 partitions. So I decided to reformat 1 partition to install Linux on it. So far everything went well and natural!
Then after being convinced that Linux is compatible with my system I decided to install my own original Windows XP Pro.
This is where the problem started...
After I put in my Windows XP Pro CD and rebooted I got a blue screen error message. So i googled around hoping to find an answer. On some forums I was told this is due to my SATA drivers. So I tried using the F6 floppy disk method to install additional drivers during the windows setup. This did not help since i still get the blue screen message. Then I was told to slipstream my Windows XP Pr CD by integrating the SATA drivers. This also did not help. I also tried slipstreaming my chipset (intel matrix storage manager) drivers but this too resulted in a blue screen error message.
The only solution which currently works for me is slipstreaming my Windows XP Pro CD and integrating Service Pack 2. But this seems very unstable and i frequently receive error messages.
So now I ended up with 1 partition of 120gb running unstable WIndows XP Pro+SP2
Here is a small video of the issue i did using my mobile phone:

size:1.02mb
format: 3gp (viewable on vlc media player: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/)
length: 1min
Here is a screen shot of the blue screen error message:

Your help is greatly appreciated!!
Thx in advance
