Well I've been very happy with my sager untill about a week ago. It got knocked off of a table. Now it crashes with a very strange pattern on the screen whenever I try and do anything 3d related.

It's terrible, and i do openGL programming (a 3d API) which means i can't test anything i write. I'm essentially dead in the water right now. So how in the world can i fix this?

The only thing i can think of is to take apart my sager and possibly re-solder a loose connection within my laptop. (save doing an RMA and paying 500 dollars for a new motherboard since i'm out of warantee)

I've tried to take apart my laptop, but just like the person with the 37xx, something around the battery "lock" is holding it together, even when i remove ALL of the screws that i can, i even removed the CPU fan to see if there were other structural screws under there (there weren't)

So how the heck can i take this thing apart? I'm not going to "force it" for fear of causing further damage, but I don't want to pay 500 bucks + shipping(100?) + labor (80). I just plain don't have the means to do that. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Are there instructions somewhere in my user's manual? (it's been so long i don't even remember if i had a user's manual)

Thanks everyone,
Dan
