Oh I have also updated my system to SP2 yesterday but the only problem I have is, I can't go to the update window site. When I try to do so, I get an error that 2 of my service is not actived however I double checked and they are actived. Just wondering if anyone came by with the same problem.

Whether or not the Windows Update works with the SP betas is a crapshoot. Yes, the latest XP SP2 doesn't connect with the update site. The original RC1 still connected though. With Server 2003 SP1, the update site is broken as well. These betas will contain the latest security fixes in the newer build coding so there may not be much if anything to update anyways.

Installed and so far no problems at all, update went flawless,at 273MB not a small download but with Cable Connection only about 18 minutes, only bug so far is that it states it cant find my Anti-Virus program..(using sytem suite 5.0)...but other than that no problems, also notice windows runs a little smoother but to soon to know for sure, I loaded it to my Desktop for now may at a later time try on my Laptop but I will wait and see....I am able to get to the update page with no problems and also recieved some service Pak 2 updates as well........

Just to clarify, the older XP RC1 build 2096 still connects and works with the Windows Update site while the newer build 2120 fails to properly update. If still being able to connect to the update site is important to you, I would suggest not updating XP past build 2096.

I just got finished uploading probably the last interim XP SP2 until the final is released...next month?

This build 2162 is only 5 days old, dated 07/09/04 and can be downloaded via the link posted above.

More than likely this will be the last time I'll be uploading any more XP SP. Time allowing, I'll try to continue uploading Windows 2003 Beta Service Packs since it won't be RTM'ed until much later.

since July 1, I've downloaded 74GB and uploaded 53GB. Ohhhh yeah. Don't ask what I'm downloading, as I'll refuse to answer that, LOL.
