DVD Burner Question..?

Hi...I wanted to buy an external dvd burner for my notebook pc...I was wondering if my notebook would burn good dvds without them skipping and whatnot..Here are the specs of my laptop..I came here to ask you guys because you guys have alot my experience than I do..So thanks to anyone who replies to my thread..

Dell Inspiron 9200
Intel Pentium M 1.60 Ghz
221 Mhz, 512 MB of ram
ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 Series 128 MB Video Card

you should be able to burn it fine if you get a decent USB dvd burner. i bought some lite-on model on newegg for like $60 that is 16x +/- rw and dvd-ram....so a pretty full-featured player (no lightscribe) for a good price. my specs are similar to yours (except for i have a gig of ram and a 2.0ghz amd64...but close enough)

I guarantee a dvd burner and the disks that it produces will work 100%. You're system is PERFECTLY fine.

or just burn with at a lower speed. and don't run too many apps while you are burning so your buffer doesn't drain.

Thanks I'll think I'll that dvd burner then...I usually dont run alot of apps when i'm burning cds...Thanks again guys..

Thanks guys for the help..I bought a Lite-On DVD Burner at Walmart for like 90 bucks..Its running good and the dvds I burned are great...Thanks
